Last week, our charity team had the honour of attending the Trust’s Annual Staff Recognition Awards at Oxford Town Hall.

Hosted by BBC Radio Oxford's presenter Bridgitte Tetteh, the event celebrated the incredible work of NHS staff  - with over 2,800 nominations across 12 categories.

Our charity sponsored the evening and our CEO and charity Chair of Trustees proudly presented the Supporter / Volunteer of the Year award.

Congratulations to the winner Max Thompson, an incredible volunteer who has given so much of his time and energy to helping patients, especially those living with dementia.

We also share congratulations with all the amazing finalists: Harvey Greenaway and family, who have supported both Neuro and the Oxford Centre for Enablement, Peter Hallworth another wonderful volunteer,  and The J Team – who fundraised in memory of their baby son, helping us to create the Butterfly Garden to support bereaved families.

The audience was in awe of their selfless dedication and all the finalists were welcomed up to the stage to receive applause.

There were also so many staff from each of our hospitals – the stories of their compassion, innovation and dedication were simply humbling.

A huge thank you to everyone who nominated and to all the incredible staff, volunteers, and fundraisers who make a difference every day!
